Universal Technical Institute (UTI) has expanded its core automotive program to include new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (BHEV) and electric vehicle (EV) courses at UTI-Avondale in Arizona and UTI-Orlando in Florida.
The new courseware builds on the hybrid and EV training programs already deployed at UTI’s three California campuses (Sacramento, Rancho Cucamonga and Long Beach).
It includes an introduction to high-voltage vehicle operation and explains electric vehicle components, operation, diagnosis and service; reviews electronic principles; and provides training in electric battery vehicle system operation and testing.
