Treads, a car management platform powered by artificial intelligence (AI), is partnering with Smartcar, a car application programming interface (API) platform, to help drivers better manage tire and maintenance costs, unlock predictive maintenance, and access on-demand vehicle management.
Paired with Treads’ subscription model, which helps car owners manage maintenance expenses, Smartcar’s API helps Treads by automatically retrieving data at set intervals, including tire pressure, odometer readings, fuel levels, electric vehicle (EV) battery levels and engine oil levels. According to Treads, this allows its app to monitor specific data points closely without compromising driver privacy.
