The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has announced new titles and responsibilities for long-time TIA executives Sandra Martinez, who becomes COO; Kevin Rohlwing, who becomes chief technical officer; and LaKisha Pindell, who becomes vice president of meetings and events.
Rohlwing, who was senior vice president of training, now is responsible for analyzing tire industry data and trends; ensuring TIA’s industry positions are consistent with existing regulations, standards, guidelines and best practices; defending positions in regulatory proceedings and civil litigation; and creating timelines for the development and deployment of technology services. He has spent 26 years developing and overseeing TIA’s tire technician training programs.
Pindell, a certified meetings planner, now is responsible for overseeing all activities related to conducting association meetings, conferences and special events. She has spent 18 years at TIA managing board meetings, special events and conferences, as well as soliciting sponsorships and advertising for TIA publications and programs.
Previously vice president of operations, Martinez now is responsible for overseeing day-to-day business operations, including finance and human resources. She has been with TIA for 24 years.
