Straightaway Tire & Auto has acquired Silverlake Automotive, a five-location auto repair chain that serves the Coeur d’Alene, ID market, with plans to expand into Spokane, WA as well as other parts of Idaho.
This expands Straightaway’s reach beyond Colorado, Florida, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire and Wisconsin.
Silverlake’s owner, Will Sando, will continue leading Silverlake as brand president, with support from the Straightaway platform team.
“From the beginning, we weren’t looking for an exit; we were looking for a way to stay, lead and continue growing Silverlake,” Sando said. “Straightaway’s model gives founders the ability to remain operators, build their brand and gain the infrastructure needed to scale. We share the same values around integrity, leadership and taking care of people, which made becoming a partner in Straightaway a natural fit.”

Straightaway now has 87 shops. According to management, the company is on track to reach 100 shops early this year.
