• Scott Thorley is now the vice president of sales at My Oil Sticker, which provides software for auto repair professionals to generate professional oil change reminder windshield stickers. Thorley had been the senior vice president of clients and partners for AutoVitals.
• Frédéric Déry is now the executive vice president and COO of Point S Canada. Déry, who joined the company about a year ago, had been its vice president of purchasing, merchandising, sales planning and operations. Additionally, Josée Dumas has joined Point S as its vice president of purchasing, merchandising and supply.
• Way.com — a wide-ranging auto services platform that includes a repair shop finder and online appointment setting — has announced Shiva Kumar as its new president. Kumar brings more than two decades of leadership experience spanning operating roles, investment banking, finance, corporate development and strategy. Most recently, he was a managing director and head of mobility technology at Piper Sandler.
• Vision Hi-Tech Training & Expo organizers are accepting applications for 2026 scholarships and awards honoring excellence and achievement in the automotive service industry. The deadline to apply is Jan. 9, 2026. Awards and scholarships will be presented at the Vision Hi-Tech 2026 taking place March 5-8 in Kansas City.

• Toyota has approved the John Bean Tru-Point ADAS calibration tool for service and repair on Toyota nameplate vehicles across the United States.
• The Hunter Engineering Co. has released a software update for the ADASLink diagnostic scan tool. Enhancements include a streamlined path for initiating calibration measurements, optional end-user software update scheduling and net promoter score capabilities.
