For the second quarter of 2026, the Penske Automotive Group reported $852.10 million in same-store service and parts revenue from its retail automotive dealerships — an increase of 2.0% compared to a year ago, with customer-pay revenue up 3.6%, warranty revenue down 2.3%, and vehicle preparation and body shop revenue down 0.7%.
Meanwhile, retail automotive dealership same-store service and parts gross profit grew 3.4% to $507.30 million, and same-store service and parts gross margin expanded from 58.7% to 59.5% on a year-over-year basis. A closer look shows that customer-pay gross profit increased 4.6%, vehicle preparation and body shop increased 2.9%, and warranty gross profit increased 0.5%.
As of June 30, 2026, Penske operated 362 retail automotive franchised dealerships of which 146 were located in the United States and 216 were located overseas, principally in the United Kingdom. It also operated 13 used vehicle dealerships.
