Position Mission
CPW is looking for a high-energy results-oriented working warehouse manager to lead, organize, and work with the day-to-day shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution teams. Improve an already functioning distribution model by ensuring all items from suppliers are received and put away timely in a manner so that parts and supplies can be easily located, sold and distributed to customers and company stores.
Essential Functions and Job Duties
• Works hands on with all aspects of the warehouse.
• Recommends personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the warehouse and receiving mission in an effective and cost-efficient manner.
• Hire, train and schedule all warehouse employees and truck drivers when needed.
• Cross train and develop employee skills for work coverage and future growth opportunities.
• Train employees on new programs, techniques and equipment.
• Establish and monitor metrics and report on variances to standards/budget.
• Drive productivity savings by controlling employee and other warehouse costs.
• Promote safe work environment through adherence to OSHA regulations as well as Car Parts Warehouse Safety policies and standards. Conduct monthly safety meetings.
• Ensure all employees comply with corporate policies and procedures. Ensure all employees are treated in a fair, equitable and consistent manner.
• Manages the unloading of all materials into the shipping and receiving department; ensures materials are staged for counting and inspection; ensures receiving reports accurately report material received. Resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports. Manages the flow of paperwork/data from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry.
• Manages the movement of material from receiving to the warehouse in an efficient, effective and safe manner. Ensures that stores stock replenishment orders are accurately and timely fulfilled. Tracks and maintains daily fulfillment metrics.
• Review and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of workers.
• Manage inventory control, adjustments and cycle count process. Work with Inventory Manager to call on vendors to periodically organize and cycle count their lines. Works with product management team on moving/return slow moving inventory.
• Manages unloading/loading freight as needed.
• Ensures a clean and well-organized warehouse.
• Complete other projects as assigned by management.
• Look at ways to improve and be innovative in your area
• Is present open to close while employees working under warehouse manager are present.
• All Managers working for Car Parts Warehouse are working managers
Qualifications
• 2 Years Warehouse Management experience is required.
• Experience in the automotive industry is a plus but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
