CYTK Corp., provider of an AI-powered, mobile repair search application for the aftermarket and dealerships, has hired Jill Trotta as its vice president of business development and Travis Adragna as its director of sales.
Trotta brings more than 30 years of automotive industry experience, including time as a service adviser, shop owner, fixed operations director and ASE Certified technician. Notably, she was vice president and general manager of sales and industry at RepairPal.
“Jill infuses into CYTK.io an automotive pedigree and understanding that is invaluable,” said Bryan Levenson, CEO of CYTK. “She is very well respected throughout the automotive repair industry and rightfully so. We are honored to have Jill join our team. Jill will be heading up business development and technology/content partnerships as well as becoming one of CYTK.io’s chief advocates.”
Adragna has more than a dozen years of sales and sales management experience, specializing in software as a service (SaaS) technology companies with positions ranging from senior area sales manager, director of sales and vice president of sales.
“We are very fortunate that Travis decided to join CYTK.io. We have historically been an R&D-focused automotive repair application company. Now that our SmartSearch product is ready for prime time, Travis is the perfect sales leader to help us launch CYTK SmartSearch nationally,” Levenson said. “We are confident Travis will help us build a world-class sales organization that starts and ends with servicing our customers better than any other mobile repair application in automotive.”
The CYTK SmartSearch mobile application is powered by MOTOR.com’s repair information database. The app provides repair information — such as service procedures, technical service bulletins (TSBs), and automotive repair estimates — as well as wiring diagrams and crowd-sourced YouTube automotive repair videos to help speed up repair times and increase efficiency.
The CYTK mobile assistant allows technicians to search on their smartphones to get repair and parts information via keyword search, by touch or by voice. This can all be done while at the vehicle or onsite at a customer’s home or office.
CYTK also provides mobile AI technology to help train and onboard new techs.
The company has raised more than $3 million in angel funding. Angel investors and advisers to CYTK include Les Silver, former CEO of Identifix and chairman of Dynatron; Ron Frey, former chief strategy officer for CDK Global and AutoNation; and Mario Recchia, former senior vice president of marketing for WORLDPAC. Also included in CYTK’s angel round are senior technology and business leaders from Amazon, Oracle and IBM.
