Honk Technologies, a digital roadside assistance and vehicle transport platform company, has introduced a premium battery replacement service.
When a motorist requests a jump-start for a dead battery via an insurance app, Honk app or representative (if the request takes place via phone), the motorist will be offered the option to purchase a new battery in the event a battery test indicates a need to replace.
If the motorist selects the battery replacement option, Honk’s platform searches for nearby providers that have a compatible battery available for the service call.
Honk’s app notifies the motorist if the battery test failed and again to confirm the request to purchase a new battery, using already collected payment details to expedite the service and purchase process.
The motorist can decline the battery replacement for any reason.
