Groupe Touchette, a large Canadian-owned tire distributor, has acquired Fastco Canada, the largest manufacturer and distributor of alloy and steel wheels and accessories in Canada. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
“Our collaboration opens new avenues for both companies and allows us to expand our product offering as part of our strategic plan,” said Nicolas Touchette, co-owner and CEO of Groupe Touchette. He added that, while remaining independent, both companies will continue to operate with common objectives.
Fastco brings long-standing partnerships with large Canadian retailers, vehicle manufacturers and tire manufacturers.
“We will now be able to count on the highly strategic experience of Fastco Canada,” stated Frederic Bouthillier, co-owner and COO of Groupe Touchette. “Fastco Canada has not only been at the forefront of forward-looking sectors such as electric vehicles (EVs) but has created unique resources such as FastFinder that enable us to offer exclusive data and precise fitment solutions to our customers.”
The agreement allows Fastco to maintain its brands and management team, including Bob and Lee Chaplin. And, Fastco’s operations in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec and Airdrie, Alberta will continue as usual.
Fastco designs, manufactures, and distributes the Fast Wheels, Fast HD, Fast EV, Braelin and Replika wheel brands as well as a full accessory program called Dialyn. It also has OER alloy wheel programs with vehicle manufacturers.
Groupe Touchette has more than 50 distribution centers across Canada. Through its TireLink and DT Tire banners, Groupe Touchette services car manufacturers, car dealerships and independent tire retailers. The company also services consumers under the retail banners Tirecraft, Integra Tire, Signature Tire, Tireland/Ici Pneu, Tire Partners/Pneu Solutions, Pneu Select, MecaniPneu, Pneus Chartrand Mecanique, Pneus Express Mecanique and Touchette Motorsport.
