Jason Herle will take over as the CEO of Edmonton-based Fountain Tire in May, becoming the company’s third chief executive in the last 30 years. He will succeed Brent Hesje, who will provide ongoing leadership to the company as executive chair of the board of directors. Hesje has been CEO since 2005.
Herle, a 28-year veteran of Fountain Tire, is the company’s COO. He started his career with Fountain Tire as an operations manager before moving into areas of real estate, expansion and wholesale. From 2019-‘21, he was senior vice president of marketing, information systems and supply chain.
Herle has served on the board of directors of Western Canada Tire Dealers and as an external board member at Glassmasters Auto Glass.
