CAWA, the Auto Care Association and the Automotive Service Councils of California will hold an industry summit June 24 in Long Beach, CA. The goal of the event is to discuss issues affecting the industry, such as telematics, cybersecurity and the recruitment of quality technicians. Click here for more information on this free event.

• More than 300 guests attended a celebration in May to mark the 100th anniversary of Tenneco’s Monroe Shocks & Struts brand at the company’s global aftermarket facility in Monroe, MI. In attendance were descendants of Monroe founder August Meyer and his business partner, Charles McIntyre.

• The Young Auto Care Network Group (YANG) will host a Yang Time Webinar on emerging global vehicle markets with Todd Campau of IHS Automotive at 3:00 pm (EDT) on Thursday, June 23. Click here to register.

• The Automotive Communications Council (ACC) will host a free webinar on leveraging marketing data at 2:00 pm (EDT) on July 13. The session, titled “The Data Rush: Mining Gold From Mountains of Marketing Data,” will be led by Craig Jackson and Jeff Peake, specialists in marketing analytics, business intelligence, enterprise design and more.
