Delphi Technologies’ aftermarket net sales decreased 11.1% to $193 million in the first quarter of 2019. Adjusted for currency, aftermarket net sales were down 6.3% compared to a year ago, primarily because of the timing of certain customer programs that shifted into the second quarter.
Aftermarket gross margin slipped from 22.1% to 20.2% on a year-over-year basis. Aftermarket operating income came in at $8 million — a decrease of 46.7% compared to the previous year. Adjusted operating income declined 35.3% to $11 million.
According to management, the aftermarket business remains on track to deliver low-single-digit revenue growth and adjusted operating margin expansion for the full year.
