AutoNation Inc. has hired Gianluca Camplone as COO of for its Precision Parts business and executive vice president, head of mobility, business strategy and development. Camplone also joins AutoNation’s executive committee. He is responsible for overseeing the company’s business strategy, corporate development and Precision Parts teams, reporting directly to CEO Mike Manley.
Camplone comes to AutoNation from McKinsey & Company, where he most recently was a senior partner and leader of the Advanced Industries global practice as well as the Private Equity Industrial practice in North America. He has merger, acquisition and dealer performance transformation experience in the automotive and commercial vehicle sectors.
