Position Summary

The Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) has a mission to advance the supplier industry and the business interests of our members. We seek to exceed member expectations.

A new position has been created to assist in:

  • Growing AASA membership
  • Growing existing member engagement
  • Achieving sponsorship targets
  • Assist in supporting our councils, which is a key vehicle for member engagement and delivering member relevance

 At a minimum, interested candidate resumes should provide:

  • Automotive aftermarket interest or experience
  • Areas of experience and interest might include marketing, sales, management and/or business development
  • General computer, Microsoft Office and other technology competencies
  • College degree in relevant field preferred

Key Responsibilities/Duties

  • AASA is a small trade association, and hence job responsibilities should be expected to vary over time depending on organizational priorities, deadlines, and member needs. All team members contribute to its success in multiple areas. This approach gives our resources exposure to multiple job roles and leadership opportunities, and provides the extensive personal development opportunities unique to small organizations in general and member-driven associations in particular
  • Learn the aftermarket
  • Build relationships with members
  • Assist with the growth of AASA membership
    • Working with Membership lead, help achieve annual membership growth goals
      • Assist with the development of targeting lists, supporting materials, and value proposition
      • Conduct new member sales activities
    • Assist with the creating of and executing recruitment plans for AASA councils
    • Work with membership coordinator to ensure that membership records are up-to-date
  • Grow member engagement
    • Conduct new member orientation process
    • Assist in achieving annual member retention goals, including support of collections activities
    • Increase AASA member engagement
      • Support an increase in member awareness and the promotion and sales of the benefits of AASA’s activities
    • Collaborate with the achievement of sponsorship targets
      • Engage in sales of AASA sponsorship activities
      • Develop value-added affiliate-membership partner programs
    • Assist in supporting our councils, which is a key vehicle for member engagement and delivering member relevance
      • Work with council lead and manager and cross-functional council team
      • Effectively communicate and coordinate activities with other AASA and MEMA council staff

AASA is the light vehicle aftermarket division of MEMA. For over 100 years, MEMA has represented one of the largest manufacturing and technology industries in North America. AASA is in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. MEMA has three locations in the U.S., four divisions, and approximately 60 employees.
