BBB Industries: Pricing Manager

As a valued member of the Product Management Team, the Pricing Manager will report to the Director of Business Analytics and is responsible for all tasks related to pricing. The position requires strict attention to detail, the ability to work with others and/or independently, under pressure, in a time sensitive environment with superior communication skills.

Job Duties

  • Lead and mentor Pricing team to deliver timely pricing updates that drive sales and profitability results
  • Work in collaboration with Product Managers to understand marketplace and macroeconomic trends impacting the category including competitive assessment and customer segmentation.
  • Develop pricing philosophies, principles, guidelines, and methodologies to maximize company’s profitability and enhance customer perceived value
  • Define and implement pricing strategy based on analytics insights from internal and external sources, competitive conditions, and business objectives
  • Advise on pricing strategies for new product introduction
  • Help with a continuous assessment of category, brand/item portfolio internal and customer external environments to identify marketplace gaps that are either opportunities or risks to growth in sales and/or market share
  • Participate in market and competitive intelligence gathering and analyses and contribute to the Executive Team strategic decision-making and development of long-term strategic plan
  • Provide pricing strategy thought leadership and lead strategy implementation in partnership with the product teams
  • Track pricing strategy and implementation compliance via a key pricing metrics dashboard that continuously measures, evaluates and adjusts execution based on learning
  • Understands all the data, knows where to find it and how to use it. – OBIEE, ASR, Oracle EBS, QAD, SQL, etc.
  • Discover new opportunities to optimize the business through analytics and statistical modeling
  • Maintain pricing matrix with documented details of all assumptions
  • Monitor and resolve customer pricing discrepancies in a timely manner

 Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field required

Minimum Experience

  • 5+ years’ pricing experience required (Automotive Aftermarket preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, communication and organizational skills
  • Expert level (Access, Excel, SQL, PowerPoint) experience
  • Experience with business case development and modeling techniques
  • Previous data collection or analysis experience in the automotive field preferred
  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Detail oriented, organized, reliable and resourceful essential
  • Ability to foster and encourage teamwork and productive working relationships with stakeholders at all levels and across organizational lines; ability to coach and mentor less experiences staff to help them achieve individual expectations and deliverables
